After breakfast at your hotel in Arusha or Moshi, you will be driven to Umbwe Gate via local villages and plantations. Following registration, the trek begins through dense rainforest with a steep and steady ascent along a narrow ridge between rivers. The trail is rich with birdlife and towering trees, offering an immersive wilderness experience. After 5–7 hours of hiking, you arrive at Umbwe Camp, located in thick forest vegetation. Dinner is served at camp, and you spend the night in comfortable mountain tents with full camping support.

After an early breakfast at Umbwe Camp, the trail becomes steeper and more rugged as you leave the rainforest behind. After photos and celebration, descend back to Barafu Camp for lunch, then continue down to Mweka Camp through rocky trails and forest. Dinner is served at Mweka Camp, where you overnight in tents after a long but rewarding day.
